Staff Architect

MGA is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our studio. Based in Old City Philadelphia, MGA is a collaborative design studio composed of 25 professionals with diverse backgrounds and abilities. With building and planning commissions for public and private institutions, including universities, performing arts, independent schools, museums, and the federal government, our work is nationally recognized through awards and publications. We realize our work through a balanced attention to design, technology, and management – honoring the building craft. Our work is collaborative, seeking fresh ideas drawn from the unique conditions of each project.

This position requires a professional license in architecture, with 10-15 years of experience working with college and university clients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and significant experience delivering design excellence throughout a comprehensive construction process.

Qualifications:
Registered Architect with Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
LEED accreditation preferred
Minimum of 10-15 years of experience with higher education clients
Experience in the Construction Administration of significant higher education projects
Proficiency with Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite
Intellectual curiosity and an eagerness to engage with others
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Project Architect

MGA is seeking a Project Architect to join our Old City Philadelphia studio. MGA is a collaborative design studio composed of 25 professionals with diverse backgrounds. With building and planning commissions for universities, performing arts institutions, independent schools, museums, and the federal government, our work is nationally recognized through awards and publications. We realize our work through a balanced attention to design, technology, and management, with an emphasis on building craft. We seek a collaborative approach, drawing fresh ideas from the unique conditions of each project. Current projects include a new Performing Arts facility for a Philadelphia institution, a renovation of a historic academic building in the Lehigh Valley, and masterplan and workplace explorations for the federal government. Candidates should have 5-8 years of experience in design and detail oriented projects, strong communication skills, leadership experience, technical skills in building construction and Revit documentation, and the desire to work in a rigorous and collaborative environment. Candidates should be registered or actively pursuing professional registration.
