On a verdant campus of original collegiate gothic architecture, this project revives an historic academic building with a full renovation and small addition, overlaying a modern architectural language that takes its cue from important spatial and formal conditions of the campus. This project reestablishes Dalton Hall as a technologically advanced home for social sciences and transforms it from a campus backwater to an important campus destination.
