Encouraging Explorations Through Graphics
MGA Partners springs from the legacy of Mitchell / Giurgola Architects. Founded in 1958 and anchoring the Philadelphia School of architecture, M/G held in high regard the importance of graphic design within the architectural profession. A continuity of integrating graphics with architecture spans the MGA portfolio over 35 years, and is manifest in many of our projects as experiential touchpoints for the communities that inhabit our spaces.

Romaldo Giurgola’s covers for Interiors Magazine set a tone for modern and innovative graphics carried forth in our firm today.

A key experiential element implemented throughout our project at Northeastern is a Data Visualization mural program—several installations across the building that make tangible the results of student and faculty research.

For our Academic Research Building at Penn, a vibrant Identity Mural comprised of graphic glass panels creates a focus from within the space as well as a means to enhance views from the exterior.

Over the last 30 years we have completed prominent graphics commissions for the Federal Government, Colleges & Universities, and Civic & Cultural institutions across the country.

Our studio serves as a proving ground for exploring experiential ideas—the space always features revolving exhibitions and media installations related to our projects and the cultural events we host.
