Demonstration rooms and small labs alongside formal data labs, can be reserved for teams incubating ideas, with grant funding for special projects. A full-floor executive conference center will support the public/private aspirations of inviting industry partnerships.



The program is focused on collaboration and flexibility—relying on designed informal spaces throughout each floor to encourage students and faculty with unstructured meeting areas where ideas can flourish. This features a tiered seating deck that joins two floors, being equally useful for formal presentations and serendipitous gatherings.




With a vision to create a public/private technology and science campus, the University of Delaware purchased a vast, obsolete automobile assembly site. Slowly, companies and developers are creating a nexus of new buildings, renting space to create a community of researchers and academics.

Financial Technology is an expanding and evolving landscape that reimagines financial services for consumers, households, and companies with systems such as blockchain and artificial intelligence. It merges finance with data – bringing together students and faculty from business, computer science, and engineering to collaborate in research and practical applications. The University of Delaware has committed three floors of a newly-developed building on their STAR Campus to unite the College of Engineering and the Lerner College of Business and Economics in spaces dedicated for Fintech study and entrepreneurship.
