Articulated wood screen walls introduce a sense of nature into the workplace, and act as connective tissue between programmatic areas. 

Challenged by the building’s low ceilings and large floor plates, we developed spatial character through strong color planes and semi-open ceilings for visual interest.

Celebrezze Federal Building Renovation
Cleveland, Ohio

The Celebrezze Federal Building is a mid-century modern skyscraper prominently sited along the lake in downtown Cleveland. Conceived as part of an extensive urban renewal program in the 1960’s, and recently overclad with a new glass façade, the building interiors were largely forgotten.

This Design Excellence project consolidates space for seven federal agencies and re-envisions 180,000 square feet as an innovative pilot workplace to guide future renovations throughout the building.
